Muncie, IN-The Cleveland State women's golf team concluded play on Tuesday with the final round of the Brittany Kelly Cardinal Classic hosted by Ball State University. The Vikings finished in 12
th place overall with an 88-over par team score.
Kaitlin Kormuth recorded a top-20 individual finish thanks to a great performance in the final round. Kormuth finished tied for 17
th at 9-over for the championship. She posted a 2-under 70 in the final round which included four birdies against two bogeys. Kormuth was the lone Viking to finish in red figures in any round of the tournament.
Mandie Ruminski finished tied for 48
th in the field at 21-over par.
Brynna Mardis carded a 4-over par 76 on the final day, improving by seven shots over her scores in the first two rounds, to finish at 26-over par in a tie for 59
th place.
Kaylin Kline recorded a 65
th place finish at 37-over par.
Abby Blackburn finished tied for 67
th at 59-over, along with freshman
Chloe Holton who also finished at 59-over. Holton completed her first collegiate event playing as an individual.
The Vikings will be in action again this weekend as they head east to Youngstown for the Roseann Schwartz Invitational. The first round of the tournament is scheduled for Sunday, September 22.
