CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State (2-3-2) were defeated by No. 2 Pitt (6-1-0) by a score of 4-0 on Tuesday evening.
The Panthers opened the scoring in eighth minute as Luis Sahmkow finished off a cross fro Casper Svendby. Pitt doubled the margin in the 30th minute off a free kick as Lasse Dahl finished off a pass from Guilherme Feitosa.
The visitors made it 3-0 in the 52nd minute as Albert Thorsen finished off a rebounded shot from Miguel Bertran. The final goal came seven minutes later Luis Sahamkow deflected a clearance into the back of the net.
The Vikings finished the evening with two shots coming from
Bojan Kolevski and
Marko Rimac.
Stephen Yerian had two saves in goal.
Cleveland State gets back into Horizon League play at home on Saturday versus Detroit at 7 p.m.
