Opening Whistle
Cleveland State begins #HLMSOC play at Oakland tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. The Vikings will look to return to the tournament after missing out last season for the first time in four seasons.

The Vikings were handed their first loss of the season at home on Thursday, Sept. 5, against Mercyhurst by a score of 2-0.
About the Golden Grizzlies
Oakland opens league play with a 1-4-0 record after recording its first win of the year at Michigan State on Monday, 3-0. The Grizzlies have six goals on the year and are led by Jack Klomparens and Lejs Plicanic with two apiece. Andrew Darakdijan leads the squad with three assists. Alex Flowers has played every minute in goal with 17 saves.
Series History
This will be the 23rd meeting between these two teams, with Oakland clinging to a 12-10-0 advantage. Last season, the Golden Grizzlies were victorious on Krenzler Field 3-0 after the Vikings won the previous two meetings.
Alumni Weekend
Sinisa Ubipariovic and the Vikings will kick off their annual Alumni Weekend with an Alumni Friends Social on Friday, October 11, at 6:30 PM in Ohio City, courtesy of the CSU Alumni Association. All men's soccer alumni are welcome to attend and receive a campus tour of the recently renovated athletic spaces as well as a tour of Krenzler Field.
On Saturday, October 12, the men's soccer team invites fans and supporters to their home match vs. IU-Indy at 7:00 PM. At halftime of the match, alumni in attendance will be recognized on the field.

Ubiparipovic Background
Sinisa Ubiparipovic enters his sixth year as the head men's soccer coach at Cleveland State University. In his five seasons, the Vikings are 35-33-11 overall (.513 winning percentage) and 22-16-7 (.567 winning percentage) in league play.
Preseason Poll
Cleveland State was picked to finish second in the Horizon League Preseason Poll. Oakland is slotted in the top spot with three first-place votes for 75 total points. The Vikings are second with a first-place vote for 73 points. Green Bay received three first-place votes and IU Indianapolis got one to tie each other for third place.
