CLEVELAND, Ohio – First-year head coach
Mark Sappington announced the 2024 Cleveland State Soccer schedule on Thursday. The 2024 schedule includes 17 regular-season contests, with seven of those on Krenzler Field.
COMPLETE 2024 SCHEDULE
The first-ever game under Sappington will occur on Thursday, August 15, at Kent State University. The first home game for the Green and White is set for Sunday, August 25, against Saint Joseph's University.
The first two Horizon League games for Cleveland State will be on the road at Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday, September 19, followed by IU Indy on Sunday, September 22. The Vikings play host to NKU in #HLWSOC action on Thursday, September 26.
The top six teams in the regular season standings advance to the Horizon League Tournament from November 3–9. The quarterfinal games occur at the higher-seeded place, followed by the semifinals and championship at the regular season champions' site.
Sappington became the fourth head coach in the program's 20-year history on January 5, 2024, following two seasons as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Morehead State University.
