The Game
After trailing by seven points at the halftime break with the score at 40-33 Milwaukee, the Vikings worked their way back into the game throughout the third quarter, until the Panthers went on a 9-0 run to close the frame, taking a 59-49 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Cleveland State was able to hold Milwaukee off the board over the first 4:49 of the fourth quarter, while a 6-0 run from Mickayla Perdue closed the gap to just four points at 59-55.

Although Milwaukee was able to stop the CSU scoring run, a Jordana Reisma layup at the 4:54 mark kept the Vikings within four points at 61-57, while a Reisma and-one just over one minute later closed the gap to 63-60 Milwaukee with 3:42 left to play.

A trio of free throws from the Vikings over the final minutes of the fourth quarter – two from Reisma and one from Macey Fegan – knotted the score at 63-63, while the Cleveland State defense held the Panthers to just four points during the frame to force the contest into overtime.

Cleveland State was then able to hold the momentum throughout the overtime period, beginning with a Sara Guerreiro layup off her own offensive rebound to give the Vikings a 65-63 edge on their first possession of the frame.

The Panthers responded with a pair of free throws to even the score once again, while a 6-0 run from the Vikings put Cleveland State up 71-65 following a Destiny Leo free throw - and in control of the contest - with less than one minute to play.
