GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Cleveland State cross country team competed at the 2024 Horizon League Championship Saturday, paced by
Ana Crangle who earned All-League honors after finishing 14
th overall.
"This was a great day for the Vikings, we put two people into the top-16, including Ana who earned All-League honors," head coach
Jason Hudson said. "Both Ana and Natalie moved up over 40 spots from last year's championship race, which is a testament to the hard work they have put in during the off season and throughout the year leading up to today. I'm proud of how we competed today, and proud of how hard this group has worked all season long."
Crangle crossed the finish line with a personal-best 6K time of 22:13 to earn all-league accolades, while
Natalie Keller posted a time of 22:17 to finish 16
th overall for the second top-20 CSU finish on the day.
Crangle becomes the first Viking to earn All-League honors since Anna Brandt in 2019, and just the fourth Viking to do so all-time.
Next to finish for the Vikings was
Brooke Bechtel (24:06) and
Deena Ingrassia (24:08), with Ingrassia posting a personal-best 6K time.
Ariana Coats (24:38) and Sage Colon (24:53) were the next Cleveland State finishers, while
Aubrey Evans tallied a personal-best time of 25:00 and
Sophia Pomnean crossed the finish line in 25:02.
Also competing for the Vikings on Saturday were
Madeline Crissman (26:44) and
Alana Nowak (28:32).
Cleveland State will now wrap up the 2024 campaign at the NCAA Regionals which are set for Friday, November 15.
