Dayton, OH-The Cleveland State women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Dayton Flyer Invitational. The Vikings finished at 51-over par 331 in the third and final round. CSU closed the event with a 126-over par total. Butler won the event with a team score of 67-over par.
Kaitlin Kormuth recorded her fourth consecutive top-20 individual finish, closing with an 8-over 78 to finish tied for 20
th at 22-over par. Kormuth played the par-3's at NCR Country Club's North Course particularly well, finishing tied for ninth in the field with a 3.42 stroke average on the par-3 holes.
Brynna Mardis finished in 39
th place with a 33-over par total. Mardis posted an 86 in the final round.
Chloe Holton moved up two spots into a tie for 43
rd at 35-over par. Holton finished her day with an 81, her lowest round of the tournament.
Mandie Ruminski finished tied for 46
th individually at 39-over par. Ruminski carded an 89 in her final round.
Abby Blackburn posted an 86 in the final round to finish tied for 53
rd at 47-over par.
This concludes the fall schedule for the Vikings, who will take a break from competition during the winter season before returning to the course in the spring. The Spring 2025 schedule will be announced at a later date.
