TOURNAMENT RECAP
DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Zach Robbins carded a final-round 74 and finished tied for seventh in the medalist standings on Tuesday at the River Run Collegiate on the River Run Country Club course.
Robbins was three-over par at the turn, but used three birdies over his final nine holes to finish with a 74 and a 54-hole score of even par 216. Walker Cress of James Madison shot 70-68-69 to claim medalist honors at the tournament.
Jack Hanus closed with the Vikings top score of the day as he shot a one-over par 73. He recorded three birdies over his final 18 holes and finished tied for 55th overall with a score of 230.
Cleveland State posted its best team score of the tournament on the final day as the Vikings shot a 297. The Vikings finished 12th in the team standings with a score of 906. James Madison captured the team title with a score of 849, while Charlotte was second shooting 871.
Gunnar McCollins posted rounds of 83-72-76 and tied for 62nd place overall.
David Laib finished with an 81 and tied for 77th overall, while Jules Blakely closed with a 74 and was 79th overall in the standings.
