RICHMOND, Va. -- Sophomore Ashley Knight carded a final-round 74 leading Cleveland State at the Colonel Classic on Saturday at the University Club at Arlington.
Knight finished strong for the Vikings with her two-over par 74 and was the Vikings top finisher in the tournament as her 54-hole score of 233 was good for 33rd overall.
Kaylee Neumeister shot a 79 on the final day and was the only Viking to post all three rounds under 80 for the tournament. She finished tied for 42nd overall with a three-round total of 235.
Madison Butler, who was the Vikings leader after the first two rounds, shot an 84 over her final 18 holes and finished 45th overall with a score of 236.
Meg Rossouw had an 83 on the final day and tied for 66th with a tournament total of 243.
Grace Zimmerman posted her best round of the tournament on Saturday as she carded an 81 and finished tied for 75th with a total of 249.
Cleveland State placed 12th in the team standings with a 54-hole total of 944, while Eastern Kentucky claimed the top spot in the team standings with a score of 875.
Elsa Moberly shot a four-under par score of 212 to claim medalist honors.
