Vikings Finish Second at Sand Ridge Shootout

CHARDON, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's golf team hosted the Sand Ridge Shootout on Friday afternoon, placing second at the par-72, 5,972-yard Sand Ridge Golf Club with a 309 total.

Youngstown State won the four team tournament with a 305 total, while Bowling Green was third at 314 and Niagara fourth at 342.

Senior Emily Turski and sophomore Kaylee Neumesiter both shot 76 and tied for fifth place, just two shots behind a trio of golfers who shared medalist honors.

Freshman Ashley Knight carded a 77 and tied for eighth place, while freshman Amanda Baker shot 80 to tie for 11th place and senior Sophie Kelner tied for 14th place with an 85.

The Vikings are back in action at the Horizon League Championship in Florida from April 22-24. CSU is the defending League champion, claiming the first title in program history last April.
