Women's Golf Opens Play at Babs Steffens Hatter Classic

DeBARY, Fla. - The Cleveland State women's golf team shot a first round 328 and is in 10th place out of 12 teams after the opening round of the Babs Steffens Hatter Classic that opened on Saturday at the par-72, 6,006-yard DeBary Golf and Country Club.

Freshman Madison Butler paced the Vikings with an opening round 78 and is tied for 16th place, while senior Emily Turski shot an 82 and is tied for 39th place. Sophomore Kaylee Neumeister is tied for 43rd after a first round 83, while freshman Amanda Baker - who is playing as an individual - also shot an 83. Freshman Ashley Knight carded an 85 and is tied for 48th place, while senior Sophie Kelner is tied for 60th after a first round 90.

The second round of the tournament will be played on Sunday.
