Men's Golf Finishes Fifth at Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate

VERONA, N.Y. - Cleveland State shot a final round 297 and finished fifth of 14 teams at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate that concluded on Monday at the par-72, 6,857-yard Turning Stone Resort (Kaluhyat Course).

The Vikings opened the tournament with rounds of 301 and 294 on Sunday.

Senior Patrick Luth shot a final round one-under-par 71 and wound up tied for ninth place with a 54-hole total of 216 (71-74-71). Blake Prince also posted a top-20 finish as he tied for 20th with rounds of 77-72-74 (223), while Anton Krecic tied for 32nd place, carding rounds of 75-74-78 (227).

Joey Krecic tied for 36th place at 228 (78-74-76), while Paul Minko rounded out CSU's squad with rounds of 79-79-76 (233) and tied for 47th place.

Host Missouri shot a final round 279 to overtake Texas A&M and claim the team title with a 54-hole total of 852, besting the Aggies by seven shots. Toledo was third at 875, while Chattanooga (888) and CSU (892) rounded out the top-five.

The Vikings are back in action on Sept. 12-13 at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational.
