Vikings in Fourth Place After Day One of Kzoo Classic

PORTAGE, Mich. - Cleveland State shot 305 and 310 and is in fourth place out of 10 teams after the first day of the Kzoo Classic. The event, hosted by Western Michigan, is being played at the par-72, 6,163 yard The Moors Course.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
• Freshman Kaylee Neumeister shot an opening round two-under-par 70 to take the lead after the opening round. She is tied for fourth place overall following a second round 78 for a 36-hole total of 148.
• Neumeister made two birdies and 16 pars in the opening round. She made 26 pars over the two rounds, tied for the second most in the field.
• Her first round 70 was a career-low and the third lowest round in school history.
• Junior Sophie Kelner is in sixth place after two rounds with a 36-hole total of 159 (75-74). Kelner's six birdies are the second most in the field.
• Freshman Ellie Cronin is tied for 25th place at 159 (81-78), while junior Emily Turski is tied for 34th place (79-84 - 163).

UP NEXT
• The Vikings conclude play in the Kzoo Classic on Tuesday morning with the final round slated to begin at 8:30 am.
