Vikings in Third Place After Opening Round of Roseann Schwartz Invitational

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Cleveland State shot an opening round 315 and is in third place after the first day of the Roseann Schwartz Invitational. Youngstown State is hosting the six-team event at the par-72, 6,071-yard Youngstown CC.

TEAM NOTES
• The Vikings 315 first round total was just six shots behind second place Oakland, while Akron leads the event after a 295. Host YSU is in fourth place at 319, while St. Francis (Pa.) at 326 and Niagara at 334 round out the field.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
• Junior Sophie Kelner fired a first round 76 and is in sixth place overall, while freshman Kaylee Neumeister shot a 77 and is tied for seventh place.
• Sophomore Rayna Oosterhuis is just outside the top-10 as her opening round 79 has her tied for 11th place.
• Junior Emily Turski is tied for 22nd place after a first round 83, while freshman Ellie Cronin shot an 84 and is tied for 26th.

UP NEXT
• The final round of the Roseann Schwartz Invitational will be played on Tuesday morning beginning at 10:00 am.
• It will be the final round of the fall season for the Vikings.
