JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Cleveland State shot a first round 324 and is in second place out of 10 teams at the Benbow Invitational at the par-72, 6,079-yard Jacksonville Beach G.C.

It is the opening tournament of the spring for CSU.

Freshman Sophie Kelner is the clubhouse leader after a first round 75, holding a one-shot lead over a trio of golfers. Junior Alyson Hackman is just two shots back after an opening round 77.

Junior Madison Lomas and freshman Hannah Bennie both shot 86 and are tied for 20th place.

The Vikings will enter Tuesday's final round 10 shots behind Butler who took the first round lead with a 324.
