Victor Morris, who played basketball at Cleveland State from 2003-07, has been named the Director of Men's Basketball Operations.
In his role, Morris is responsible for coordinating the program's administrative functions, including team travel, community service and academic progress.
Morris spent last season as an assistant coach at Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport, La.
Prior to last season, Morris spent five years playing professional basketball overseas with stops in Germany, Finland and Canada. He also ran the Victor Morris Basketball Academy from 2011-13.
As a player at CSU, Morris played in 103 career games, making 59 starts. He averaged 6.3 points, 2.2 rebound and 2.3 assists per game, while shooting .811 (103-127) at the free throw line.
He played his final season (2006-07) for Waters, emerging as a leader on the floor for the squad. Morris averaged 7.5 points and 2.1 assists in 22 games as a senior, earning a starting nod 15 times.
A native of Inkster, Mich., Morris was a second team all-state selection as a senior at Inkster H.S. after averaging 21.3 points, 7.0 assists and 4.5 steals. He was a first team all-league, all-area and All-Metro West selection after leading the team to a 22-2 record and a fourth place finish in the state.
Morris earned his Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from Cleveland State.
