CSU Finishes Fifth at St. Bonaventure Invitational

OLEAN, N.Y. - Cleveland State shot a final round 289 and finished in fifth place at the 26th Annual Leo Keenan Invitational that concluded on Monday at the par-70 Bartlett C.C.

CSU opened the event with a 286 on Sunday.

Paul Minko was the Vikings top finisher, tying for third place with rounds of 66-73 (139). His opening round 66 was a career low and tied for the third lowest round in school history.

Minko's eight birdies over 36 holes were the second most in the field.

Michael Balcar shot CSU's low round today, an even-par 70, and tied for 11th place overall with a 36 hole total of 143 (73-70). Balcar averaged 4.25 on the par five's, tops in the field, playing them in three-under-par.

Pat Luth tied for 20th place at 145 (73-72), while Mitchell Moore shot 74-75 (149) to tie for 38th place.

The Vikings will be out of action until Sept. 29-30 when CSU hosts the CSU Invitational at Barrington C.C. in Aurora, Ohio.
