Vikings Tied For Second Place at Season Opening Event

VIENNA, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's golf team opened the fall season by carding a 314 at the first round of the Roseann Schwartz Invitational at Candywood Golf Course on Monday.

The Vikings are tied with Dayton for second place in the four team field, seven shots behind host Youngstown State who shot 307. Malone is in fourth place at 366.

The 314 is tied for the sixth lowest team round in program history.

Senior Colleen Miller carded a first round 77, the lowest round of her CSU career, while freshman Hannah Bennie and junior Madison Lomas both shot 78. Junior Allyson Hackman and freshman Sophia Kelner both carded 81's.

The Vikings conclude play at the tournament with the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
