HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Cleveland State men's golf team opened the spring season with rounds of 303 and 316 to begin play at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate on Monday.
CSU is in 13th place out of 17 teams at the event after the first 36 holes.
Junior Michael Balcar paced the Vikings on the opening day with a four-over-par total of 148. He shot a first round even-par 72 and followed it with a 76.
Senior Andrew Bailey shot the best round of the day in the entire field with a first round two-under-par 70.
The final round of the tournament will be played on Tuesday morning.
