JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Cleveland State women's golf team carded an opening round 357 and is in 15th place after the first round of the Don Benbow Invitational on Monday.

"We didn't play our best today and the team knows that," head coach Steve Weir said. "Nobody was satisfied with today's score and after the round, everyone put in some time at the range to work on some things and that is rare for a team of freshmen and sophomores. I have never had a team work as hard as this group and they are going to figure things out."

The Vikings conclude play at the invitational on Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
