CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's soccer team fell to Buffalo, 1-0 after Buffalo was able to score late in the second half. The loss drops CSU to 1-3-1 on the season as Buffalo improves to 3-2.

The lone goal of the match was scored by Buffalo's Dan Bulley in the 78th minute. Bulley scored off a header beating CSU goalkeeper Nick Harpel. Ian McGimsey recorded the assist on the play.

"We have to start taking the chances that we are creating and not allow one mistake to cost us a game," assistant coach T.J. Kolba said. "We played very well, and to come away without a result is disappointing."

Despite the outcome, shots on goal were even throughout the match with Buffalo having a slight 7-6 lead. John Wargo tallied two of the shots while Admir Suljevic, Josh Williams, Marco DiFranco and Bryan Henson each recorded one.

Harpel played all 90 minutes in the net for the Vikings, recording six saves.

"Still, there are a lot of positives from this match," Kolba said. "We now have to look to Niagara and focus on the match ahead."

The Vikings will stay in New York and face Niagara this Sunday (Sept. 20) at 3:00 p.m.
