MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
The win, combined with a loss at YSU by MIlwaukee and a win by Wright State, improves CSU to 10-5 in league play, good for a third place tie with WSU, one game behind second place Green Bay (11-4).
This was the 57th meeting between CSU and Green Bay with the Phoenix entering the game with a 35-21 series lead (The teams were 13-13 in Cleveland and Green Bay was 12-5 in the Wolstein Center).
The Phoneix closed two within one (71-70) on a Ryan TIllema basket but could not take the lead.
CSU scored the first 16 points of the game as Green Bay missed their first nine field goal attempts. CSU would lead by no less than 10 points the rest of the first half, leading 34-24 at the break.
Senior Renard Fields came off the bench for the 100th time in his career, owning two records. He is the CSU record holder for fewest starts among players with 100 games played and most games played without a start.
CSU had four players score in double figures for the second straight game, an accomplishment achieved just once in the first 25 games (5 vs. Toledo).
Sophomore D'Aundray Brown recorded his third double-figure rebounding effort since returning from injury four games ago, finishing with a career-high 11 rebounds.
