LAWRENCE, Kan. - Cleveland State shot a final round 302 and moved up one spot to finish in 13th place out of 16 teams at the Jayhawk Invitational concluded on Tuesday morning at the par-72, 7,092-yard Alvamar G.C.

"We didn't get anything going this week and it shows in the scores," head coach Steve Weir said. "We need to eliminate some of the big numbers we are posting and make the most of our birdie opportunities."

Senior Jake Scott was CSU's top finisher, tying for 28th place with a three-round total of 224 (75-75-74). Junior Kyle Cobb was close behind, tying for 39th after rounds of 75-76-76 (227).

The Vikings will be out of action until Sept. 29-30 when the Vikings host the CSU-Telich Sun Life Financial Invitational at Sand Ridge G.C. in Chardon, Ohio. The field will play 36 holes on Monday and conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
