Postgame Quotes
Cleveland State vs. Lake Erie College
Nov. 6, 2007

Cleveland State Head Coach Gary Waters: "We had some first game jitters today, but I expected that because we have a bunch of players who haven't played in a year. The one thing I felt good about is that we put a lot of time and effort into our defense and we played well on that end of the court. Offensively, we'll get better each and every day. We need to take better care of the basketball than we did tonight."

On This Year's Team: "I really like this team a lot. I like their character and heart, but they need to learn to play together and that doesn't happen overnight."

On Executing: "We didn't execute as well as we could tonight, but Lake Erie had a lot to do with that. They are a fiesty team and have some pretty good shooters. We need to value the basketball and I have to get them to understand that. We're going to get the ball back and defense and we have to do something with it then."

On The Rotation: "The first 11 are all going to play. There are a couple definates who will start, but every other spot is up for grabs. We're going to need Joe to score some for us and the kid I like out there who plays the game well is D'Aundray.

On South Florida: "South Florida is a good team. They can shoot the ball really well and their guards are outstanding."

On Renard Fields' Effort Off the Bench: "He came off the bench and gave us some quality minutes both offensively and defensively."

Cedric Jackson on His First Game After Redshirting Last Season: "I was a little nervous when I started, but I'm glad this game is out of my system. I know what I need to do now. When we started moving the ball around and got some baskets in transition, that really got us going."

Nick Weaver on His Role: "I'm the type of player that comes off the bench and gives the team a lift and hits some big shots."
