Vikings Defeated By St. Bonaventure, 81-67

OLEAN, N.Y. (AP) - Despite 20 points from reserve Percell Coles (Philadelphia, Pa./Simon Gratz), Cleveland State fell at St. Bonaventure 81-67 Tuesday night at the Reilly Center.

However, point guard Marques Green scored 25 points to lead the Bonnies while adding nine assists, five steals and three rebounds.

The Bonnies (10-9) went on a 13-3 run over six minutes late in the second half. During that run, Joe Shepherd scored eight of his 14 points.

Patricio Prato scored 16 points, surpassing 1,000 career points, grabbed six rebounds and had two assists and two steals.

Cleveland State (7-13) got within two points of the Bonnies when Tahric Gosley Philadelphia, Pa./Simon Gratz), sunk a basket with 14:04 left in the first half. Gosley finished with 10 points while Modibo Niakate (Paris, France/Sacred Heart Academy) also reached double figures for CSU with 12 markers.

One bright spot was the Vikes' rebounding effort as they pounded the boards for 50 caroms compared to 34 for the Bonnies. Gosley yanked down a career- and game-high 14 rebounds as part of the barrage.

Percell Coles scored 20 points and Modibo Niakate added 12 points for the Vikings.
