Late Run Propels Stony Brook Past Men's Hoops, 64-56

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) - D.J. Munir scored six of his 21 points in a 12-0 run in the closing minutes and Stony Brook won for the first time this season, 64-56 over Cleveland State on Tuesday night.

Mike Orfini had 12 points for the Seawolves (1-6), while Jarius McCollum added 11.

Jermaine Robinson had 17 points to lead the Vikings (2-3), while Theo Dixon added 14. Cleveland State coach Rollie Massimino was a former head coach at Stony Brook.

Robinson's jumper gave the Vikings their biggest lead of the second half, 36-31 with 16:48 to play. Stony Brook pulled into a 54-54 tie on Munir's two free throws which started the deciding the run.

McCollum's jumper with 1:51 left put the Seawolves ahead for good at 56-54, and Munir and Orfini each added four free throws before Robinson's meaningless basket with 4 seconds to play.
