Jermaine Robinson's layup with eight seconds left in the second overtime gave Cleveland State the lead, and Anthony Jackson added a free throw with one second left as the Vikings beat Florida State 87-85 Tuesday night.

It was Cleveland State's first win ever against an Atlantic Coast Conference team. The Vikings had been 0-3 since the 1976-77 season.

Theo Dixon and Robinson each scored 24 points to lead Cleveland State (5-4), which was 10-of-18 on 3-point shooting. Jamaal Harris added 18 points.

Michael Joiner paced Florida State (2-8) with 22 points and Monte Cummings had 18. But in contrast to Cleveland State's sharp shooting from long range, the Seminoles were 2-of-18 from beyond the arc.

In the first half, Cleveland State surged ahead 11-4 before the Seminoles came back to lead 14-13 on Cummings' layup. Florida State built the lead to 26-18, only to see the Vikings fight back to 32-32. Joiner's 3-pointer gave Florida State a 35-34 edge at the half.

Cleveland State went up 54-47 with 11:24 left in the second half after a Dixon layup. But Mike Mathews dunked with 4:58 left to put Florida State up again, 59-58. Dixon's jumper with 30 seconds left resulted in a 65-65 score at the end of regulation.

Harris hit a 3-pointer that put the Vikings up 73-68 with 1:51 left in the first overtime, but they couldn't score again and Mathews' two free throws with 30 seconds left made it 73-73 and required the second OT period.

Joiner's jumper with 10 seconds in the second overtime put Florida State ahead briefly, 85-84.
