Men's Basketball Defeats Yale, 80-70

CLEVELAND (AP) - Theo Dixon scored 23 points and Cleveland State dominated the boards as it beat Yale 80-70 on Sunday.

Cleveland State (2-0) scored 22 points off of offensive rebounds as Yale (0-2) struggled to keep up on the front line. Cleveland State finished with a 50-30 edge in rebounds.

Jamaal Harris added 14 points and Tahric Gosley had 12 for Cleveland State. They also led the run that put the Vikings ahead to stay.

There were six ties and eight lead changes in the first 10 minutes, with Yale leading by as many five points. Cleveland State took the final lead with a 10-3 run featuring a three-point play, a free throw and a jumper by Gosley and a free throw and a 3-pointer by Harris that pushed it to 34-26.
