Cleveland State University

Eric Haecker enters his second season as an assistant coach of the Cleveland State women’s soccer team. Haecker will primarily serve as the goalkeeper coach.

In his first season at Cleveland State, he saw the Green and White record two wins, both of which came in Horizon League play. The victories came in consecutive games via shutout. The first was at Youngstown State (1-0) on Oct. 17 and then at home versus Oakland (4-0) on Oct. 19. On the year, the goalkeepers recorded 66 saves.

Prior to Cleveland State, Haecker spent one season as the assistant coach at Defiance College.

Haecker has eight years of experience at the high school level and ten years at the youth level. He served as the head coach at Cardinal Stritch High School and was an assistant coach at St. Francis De Sales.

Haecker holds USSF C & D coaching licenses.  He is from Westlake, Ohio, and attended the University of Toledo and played club soccer for five years.
