Cleveland State University

Hanna Zerr will begin her third season on the sidelines with the Cleveland State women's basketball team during the 2024-25 campaign, and the second as Director of Basketball Operations. 

Zerr, who started her tenure at Cleveland State as the Special Assistant to the Head Coach during the 2022-23 season, has been instrumental in helping the Vikings capture the 2023 Horizon League Tournament title and last season’s Horizon League Regular Season championship.

Prior to joining the Vikings in August of 2022, Zerr spent time as the Assistant Director of Unified Champion Schools for Special Olympics South Dakota, where she coordinated day-to-day programming activities, implemented intramural sports with local high schools and colleges, while also assisting with the writing and reporting of UCS grants.

In addition to working at Special Olympics South Dakota, Zerr also served as a Graduate Assistant for Athletics Administration at Augustana University where she helped with donor development, event management, marketing, and fan engagement. 

Zerr is a 2017 graduate of Bemidji State University, where she was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team.
