Darryl Brown will begin his second season as a member of theCleveland State coaching staff during the 2014-15 season, servingas an assistant coach with the Vikings. Brown is a 13-year coachingveteran, and will continue to provide CSU with a wealth ofknowledge of the collegiate basketball game.

Prior to joining the Cleveland State staff in 2013, Brown spentfive seasons at Pepperdine University – three as an assistantcoach (2008-09 through 2010-11) and two as the associate head coach(2011-12 & 2012-13). During his five years with the Waves,Brown guided the team to three straight third-place finishes in theWest Coast Conference, the finals of the 2012 WCC Championship andto the 2010 & 2011 WNIT. While at Pepperdine, six Waves earnedWest Coast Conference accolades under Brown, including JasmineJackson who was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year.

Prior to his time at Pepperdine, Brown spent four years atCheyney University, an NCAA Division II school. Brown served as thehead coach during the 2006-07 & 2007-08 seasons and as anassistant coach during 2004-05 & 2005-06. During his final yearwith the Wolves, Brown earned Pennsylvania State AthleticConference Coach of the Year honors – the first coach inprogram history to earn the award.

Brown also spent time as an assistant coach at Temple (1998-99& 1999-2000) and Montclair State (2001-02).

A native of Philadelphia, Brown graduated from The Fox School ofBusiness at Temple University with a degree in Marketing in1995.
