Sasa Mijic

Sasa Mijic enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Cleveland State men's soccer team.

Mijic was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia, playing for the U14, U15, and U17 national teams of Bosnia (Republika Srpska), coached by the esteemed Velimir Sombolac, an Olympic Gold medalist with Former Yugoslavia from the 1960 Olympic games held in Rome.

Mijic had the opportunity to play for Partizan Belgrade, a top Serbian soccer club, at the age of 15, but moved to the United States with his family. Upon his arrival, Mijic played for club teams, Houstonins FC (Houston, TX), and Columbus Blast (Columbus, OH).

Mijic has been coaching at SSKK Karadjordje Cleveland, emphasizing youth talent development.

Mijic attended the University of Akron, where he studied marketing. He has a wife, Mariana, and three children - Filip, Leo, and Adam.
