Cleveland State head coach Sinisa Ubiparipovic announced the elevation of Charlie Krus to Assistant Coach of the Cleveland State men’s soccer program.
Krus served this past season as a volunteer coach, aiding in the Vikings winning its second Horizon League Regular Season Championship and third Horizon League Tournament Championship after putting up a 9-4-6 overall record and a 5-1-3 mark in league games.
Krus helped the Green and White to a 12-game unbeaten streak, tying the program and was third longest active mark in the NCAA. He helped with the team securing four major awards and eight #HLMSOC All-League honors. Uros Jevtic was named Defensive Player of the Year, Ryan Poling was the Goalkeeper of the Year, and Uzman Ramees was the Freshman of the Year.
Krus was a four-year midfielder at Wooster University, appearing in 43 games with four starts. He tallied two assists during his freshman season.
Krus was named All-Greater Cleveland as a senior at University School and took part in the Ohio North Region Olympic Development program.
Krus graduated from Wooster University with a degree in economics.
