Head coach Daniyal Robinson announced today the hiring of Josh Kahn as the program’s Assistant Director of Basketball Operations. Kahn is a 2024 graduate of the University of Arizona and comes to Cleveland State after a successful season with the West Virginia University men’s basketball program.
“I am excited to welcome Josh Kahn to the Cleveland State family as our new Assistant Director of Basketball Operations,” said Coach Robinson. “Josh’s work ethic, passion for the game, and commitment to excellence are exactly what we were looking for as we continue to build a championship culture. He’s a man of high character and integrity, and has a great feel for everyone he works with. I’m pleased to be able to bring him into the fold.”
At West Virginia, Kahn served as the Recruiting Assistant, helping the Mountaineers by coordinating on-campus recruiting visits as well as assisting the WVU assistant coaches in organizing travel itineraries for recruiting trips. He also served as the program’s Name Image and Likeness liaison, assisting the coaching staff with NIL related concerns. “Josh’s dedication to our Student-Athletes in all areas will add great value to our program,” Coach Robinson further remarked.
Kahn previously worked with NoCeiling Sports as an Athletic Advisor as well as for Barstool Sports as a Media Manager for Barstool’s University of Arizona social media profiles. In his role as an Advisor, he provided support to numerous Division I student-athletes to facilitate their decision-making process and help them navigate the recruiting landscape. In his role with Barstool, he managed content across Twitter, Instagram and TikTok and saw growth across all platforms during his time managing the accounts.
Kahn holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona in applied humanities in 2024.
