Biography

2020-21 - SENIOR SEASON
•    Saw action in 27 games (26 starts) averaging a career-best 14.7 points, a career-high 8.0 rebounds and a career-high 2.7 assists in a career-high 31.7 minutes
•    Led the team in scoring (14.7) and rebounds (8.0)
•    Ranked 14th in the Horizon League in scoring, while ranking seventh in rebounds
•    Tallied a .469 field goal percentage, which was good for ninth-best in the #HLMBB
•    Scored 10-or-more points in all but six games and 22 of 24 league contests
•    One of three Vikings to average double figure scoring efforts during the 2020-21 season
•    Strung together two career-best double-digit scoring streaks, netting 10-plus in nine straight games on two separate occasions (Dec. 19-Jan. 16, Feb. 5-March 9)
•    From Dec. 19-Jan. 16, the Vikings won all nine games that Patton scored 10-or-more
•    Led the team with a career-best seven double-doubles, including four straight and three consecutive double-doubles in the Horizon League Tournament
•    Named the Horizon League Tournament MVP
•    Averaged 22.3 points, 12.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists for the Green and White en route to the program’s third-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament
•    Had a team-high three games of 20-or-more points, including two 30-plus point outings
•    Poured in a career-high 33 points on 13-19 (.684) shooting from the field, including a 3-6 (.500) mark from deep, in addition to six rebounds, three assists and one steal in 37 minutes against Detroit Mercy on Feb. 12
•    Notched 30 points in Cleveland State’s triple overtime win over Purdue Fort Wayne on March 2, in addition to 13 rebounds, four assists and one steal in a career-high 50 minutes of action
•    Had nine games of 10-plus rebounds and five games of four offensive rebounds (second-most in career)
•    Pulled down 217 total rebounds, good for fifth-most in the Horizon League
•    Grabbed a career-high tying 14 rebounds against the nationally-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes on Dec. 13
•    Dished out a season-high five assists four times during the 2020-21 season
•    Swiped a season-high three steals four times (all wins)
•    Earned #HLMBB All-League First Team honors, becoming the first Viking to earn the nod since Trey Lewis and Anton Grady in 2015 and only the seventh Viking in Cleveland State men’s basketball history to receive the honor

2019-20 - JUNIOR SEASON
•    Appeared in 26 games making 24 starts
•    Tallied 11.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 28.4 minutes per contest
•    Earned Horizon League Player of the Week honors on Jan 6 after posting a career-high 25 points in a win against Youngstown State (Jan. 4) 
•    Patton's 11.7 points per game were good for second-best on the team and 19th-best in the Horizon League...he was one of only three players to average 10-plus points
•    Knocked down an average of 4.4 field goals per game, good for second-best on the team
•    Led the Vikings in three-point field goal percentage (.424, min. 50 attempts)
•    Ranked second on the team in rebounds (6.1) and steals per game (1.3), and fourth in assists per game (1.6)
•    Notched three double-doubles in four games: Feb. 22 (21 points, 11 rebounds), Feb. 29 (19 points, 14 rebounds) and March 3 (11 points, 13 rebounds)...his double-double on Feb. 22 was Patton's first career double-double 
•    Over his last four games of the season, Patton averaged 16.5 points and 11 rebounds
•    Pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds (including career-best seven offensive) at Green Bay (Feb. 29)
•    Saw 16 games of 10 or more points, including four games of 20+
•    Buried the game-winning three-pointer at Milwaukee (Feb. 27) and one game before, hit the game-tying triple against league-leading Wright State to send the game into overtime
•    His 6.1 rebounds per game was 12th-best in the league
•    Averaged 13.5 points in league contests (17th-best in HL) and 6.8 rebounds (ninth in HL)
•    Patton's 25 points on Jan. 4 were third-most points in a single game for the Vikes, whiles his 22 points at UIC on Dec. 28 marked the fifth-most
•    His 14 rebounds on Feb. 29 marked the second-most rebounds in a single game for the Vikings


PRE-CLEVELAND STATE (Indian Hills Community College)
•    Spent one season at Indian Hills Community College and played in 34 games
•    Honorable Mention National Junior College Athletic Association All-American
•    Earned First Team All-Iowa Community College Athletic Conference honors
•    Named to the National Junior College Athletic Association National All-Tournament team
•    Averaged 15.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game
•    Shot 52.2 percent from the floor and over 70 percent from the free throw line
•    Ranked second in the ICCAC in rebounding per game

PRE-CLEVELAND STATE (Akron)
•    Played one season at Akron and played in 32 games
•    Averaged 3.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game
•    Shot 48.8 percent from the floor
•    Scored a season-high 10 points against both Mississippi Valley State and Western Michigan
