Opening Whistle  
The Vikings (0-6-0) take on Southern Indiana (0-5-2) back at Krenzler Field for senior night.
 
Last Game Out  
Cleveland State concluded its last two games with a loss against Akron and St. Bonaventure. Against Akron, the Green & White were defeated 2-0 with one goal that came at the 25^th minute and one at the 87^th minute. At St. Bonaventure, the Bonnies scored three goals in the first half and one in the second half to make the final score 4-0.

About the Screaming Eagles    
The Screaming Eagles are 0-5-2 on the year with a tie against Wright State and and Purdue Fort Wayne.

Southern Indiana were picked to finish third in the OVC, predicted to finish with 77 points. The Screaming Eagles also bring back graduate forward Payton Seymour and redshirt defender Ava Hess who were put on the 2026 OVC Women's Soccer Preseason Players to Watch List.
 
Peyton Seymour did not play last season due to injury but in the 2024 season she put up seven points with two goals and three assists on the year. With 19 shots and seven shots on target. Ava Hess played in 20 games with five starts last season. She was part of the defensive unit that had 10 shutouts.

Series History with Southern Indiana
This will only be the second matchup between these two teams, with Cleveland State holding a 1-0 record against the Screaming Eagles. The last matchup took was last season where the Vikings went to Evansville and won 2-0. With one of the goals being from Elise Boyd.

We have seven seniors to celebrate which include: Elise Boyd, Hayleigh Lewis, Sidney Nicholas, Nikolina Miskovic, Carly Stinson, Olivia Cruz, and Rhi Molanr.

 Preseason Poll 
Cleveland State was chosen to finish ninth in the Horizon League Preseason Poll with 57 points. Milwaukee took the top spot with 142 points, NKU was second with 119 points, and YSU in third with 103 points.
