Box Score Rochester, Michigan Cleveland State (1-7-0) wins their first game of the season against Oakland (1-5-1), with a two goal performance from Ryleigh Alcala

Cortlyn Hefty nearly made the score 1-0 with a shot on goal at the 5^th minute just above the crossbar. Sidney Nicolas had a chance to score with a shot from top of the box but was saved by the goal keeper. At the 13^th minute Ryleigh Alcala scored the first goal of the season for Cleveland State making the score 1-0. At the 44^th min Sophie Abbott nearly doubled the margin off a of a cross from Sidney Nicolas

At the end of the first half the Vikings hold a 8-3 shot edge against the Golden Grizzlies with three shots on goals. Defensively Cleveland State held Oakland to only one shot on goal.

In the second half the Green & White held most of the possession in the first 10 minutes in the second half with three shots on goal from three different athletes. Hayleigh Lewis at the 78^th minute made a diving save to save a power shot from within the box. Ryleigh Alcala at the 84^th minute bangs in a goal to double the margin 2-0.

Cleveland State dominated the match with a 19 shots and 10 shots on goal coming from seven different athletes, with Ryleigh Alcala who lead the way with five shots and two goals. Hayleigh Lewis had three saves on the game.
