KENT, Ohio – The Cleveland State volleyball team opened its final week of non-league play Thursday, dropping a 3-1 match at Kent State.
The Vikings will close out its non-league slate tomorrow, hosting Akron at 6:00 p.m. inside Woodling Gymnasium.
For the match, the Vikings had two players with double-digit kills, with
Alyssa Cerovac and
Julia Jozefov both notching 11 kills on the night.
Fiona Cooper tallied 37 assists to captain the CSU offense, while
Vayda Delventhal posted a team-best 23 digs to lead the defense.
Delventhal has now recorded a trio of 20-dig performances this season.
Along with Delventhal,
Abigail Bartolo finished with 13 digs, while
Bryn VanVleet added 12 and
Addison Koppelman chipped in 11 digs.
The Vikings continued their strong performances from the service line on the year, posting seven aces on the match, including three from Cooper.
Tomorrow's match against Akron will mark the final match of an 11-match non-league slate.
