Morehead, Ky.- Cleveland State (0-4-0) dropped another game with a 2-0 loss to Morehead State (2-2-0)
The Green & White pushed hard in the first half recording three shots while having one shot on goal. In the 22
nd minute the Eagles scored bottom center of the goal from a through ball which took the lead 1-0. After the intermission CSU gained a 9-2 shot edge and four shots on goal. With four players recorded at least one shot with
Sidney Nicholas and
Elise Boyd who lead the way with three shots each. For most of the second half the Vikings had control of the ball on the Eagles' side of the field.
At the 73
rd minute Morehead State doubled their margin 2-0 from a bad pass intercepted. While the Eagles only recorded two shots on goal.
Offensively in the match for Cleveland State immensely improved in the second half CSU more than doubled their shot total from four to nine and along with tripling shots on goal. Â
The Green & White with a shot advantage of 11-6 was not enough to get it done on the road. With the final score Eagles 2 Vikings 0.
