Opening Whistle
The Vikings take to Krenzler Field for the first time this season against Duquesne on Thursday at 7 p.m., before heading back out on the road to face Morehead State on Sunday afternoon.

Cleveland State concluded its two-game road swing with a 5-0 loss to Eastern Kentucky. Following a scoreless first half, the Colonels opened the scoring just a minute into the second half on a penalty kick. EKU increased their margin in the 55th, 59th, 63rd, and 80th minutes of the game.
About the Dukes
The Dukes are winless on the year, 0-1-0, opening with a 3-1 loss at Eastern Michigan on Wednesday. Jayden Sharpless started the scoring in the 12th minute on a penalty kick before EMU answered a minute later to tie the game at halftime, 1-1. EMU added goals in the 70th and 76th minutes to claim the 3-1 victory.
Kayla Leseck paces the team in points with 14 in 56 career games and is also eleventh in program history with ten assists. Last season, Duquesne had 20+ shots in eleven different games and ranked 27th in the NCAA for goal differential.

This will be the sixth matchup of these two teams with Duquense holding a 4-1-0 advantage. These two teams last met last season with the Dukes coming away with a 4-1 win. The Green and White last won in 2011.

The Eagles are 1-1-0 on the year with a loss to Marshall and a win against Brescia. The Eagles have 17 returners and nine newcomers, which includes five new freshman and four transfers. Faith Pepper last season earned OVC All-Newcomer and was highlighted as a 2026 OVC Player to Watch.
