INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State (10-15, 6-8 Horizon League) fell to IU Indy (7-18, 3-11 Horizon League), 82-74, at The Jungle on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore forward
Dayan Nessah (Geneva, Switzerland) led the way with 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting. Nessah was 6-of-8 from the free throw line. Senior guard
Jaidon Lipscomb (Columbus, Ohio) added 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting and was 4-of-12 from the three-point line. Junior forward
Josiah Harris (Canton, Ohio) posted 10 as well to round out the double-digit scorers.
As a team, Cleveland State shot 25-of-60 (41.7%) from the floor and 8-of-35 (22.9%) from the three-point line. IU Indy shot 16-of-31 (49.2%) overall and 10-of-23 (43.5%) from deep.
Harris was one short of a double-double with a team-high nine rebounds, while Lipscomb pulled down eight. The Vikings had 35 rebounds, with 10 on the offensive side. The offensive boards led to seven second chance points.
Lipscomb added a career-high seven assists, leading the way as the team posted 16. Nessah recorded five of his own.
Cleveland State forced 13 turnovers and recorded seven steals, with senior guard
Foster Wonders (Iron Mountain, Michigan) adding two. CSU had 15 points off turnovers and 16 fast break points.
