ASHLAND, Ohio – Cleveland State tuned up for the Horizon League Indoor Championship meet at the Ashland Last Chance Meet on Saturday. On the day, the Green and White recorded nine top-five finishes.
 
Emma Sanders became the latest Viking to get into the record books as she put up the top time in the 60 finals with a 7.67, placing her fourth overall in the race.
 
"This was our last meet before the championship, and we got back to putting up school records and personal bests," said coach Hudson. I am very excited about us earning points in the events we didn't last year, and I am now ready to compete next week.
 
Madison Morris turned in a runner-up finish in the 400 with a time of 58.92.
 
Third-place finishes went to Kayla Crissman in the mile with a time of 5:14.39 and Ana Crangle in the 800 with a time of 2:17.24.

In the 4x400 relay, Cleveland State went second and third with Todd, Hoover, Lamp, and Morris—4:03.95, and McArdle, McGarrah, Ngetich, and Crissman—4:06.91.
 
On Friday at the Akron Invite, Annabelle Crissman won the 5000 after registering a time of 18:56.87. This was the first time the freshman had appeared in this event.
 
Cleveland State will head to Youngstown State on Saturday, Feb. 28, and Sunday, Mar. 1, for the Horizon League Indoor Championships.
