Cleveland State competed at two different places on Saturday with the Green and White turning in six personal records.
Â
Ana Crangle (mile) and
Kayla Crissman (800) competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invite in Boston. Crangle had a great race, as she had to take the lead halfway through to get a PR, becoming only the second runner in program history to run a mile under five minutes, finishing at 4:58.22, which is a second away from the school record.
Â
The other Viking runners went back to Spire Academy for a second time this season.
Trinity Lamp led the way in the 60-meter hurdles, winning her prelim heat in 8.95 and then winning the finals after improving her time to 8.90.
Â
Annabelle Crissman was the runner-up in the 3000, crossing with a PR time of 10:51.23. The other best times went to
Madison Morris in the 60,
Madeline Crissman in the 800,
Sophie Ngetich in the 800, and
Olivia Todd in the 200.
Â
Coach Hudson said afterwards, "Even though we split up today, we're still one team. We are fine tuning our running and are under two weeks away from the conference championship Now, we just need to stay healthy, rested, and trust our training."
Â
Cleveland State will have its final tune-up for the Horizon League Indoor Championships at the Ashland Last Chance meet on Saturday, Feb. 21.
