The Green & White (2-9-1) take on Detroit Mercy (3-7-2) on Saturday, October 10th at 1:00 p.m. at Krenzler Field.

Last Game Out
Cleveland State's last two games out were IU Indy and NIU. Where against IU Indy the Vikings came out on top 1-0 with a goal coming from Elise Boyd at the 64th minute. Against NIU, CSU fell short of the win with the Huskies scoring a goal at the 85th minute to end the game 3-2. The Vikings' goals came from Cortlyn Hefty assisted by Elise Boyd which is her first of the season and the second goal came from Madison Wright which marks her first goal of the season.

About the Titans       
The Titans are 3-7-2 on the year with wins against Eastern Michigan, Valparaiso, and Purdue Fort Wayne. Detroit Mercy were picked to finish 11th in the Horizon League.

The Titans return 14th players from last season. Lead by senior Jada Rivera who was second on the team with three goals, senior defender Leila Lanier who was selected for the #HLWSOC All-League Second Team in 2024, and sophomore Emma Henry who started all 18 games last season as a freshman.

Series History with Detroit Mercy   
The Vikings and Titans have faced off 24 times, with Detroit Mercy holding a 12-9-3 record against the Vikings. Their last matchup took place last season at Detroit Mercy and ended in a 3-3 draw. Two goals came from Cortlyn Hefty and the other goal came from Nikolina Miskovic. In the last three years CSU is 0-2-1 against the Titans.  

What to Watch For
In the last four games the Vikings have tailed four goals as a team. With Ryleigh Alcala leading the way with two and four other Vikings with one goal.

Preseason Poll 
Cleveland State was chosen to finish ninth in the Horizon League Preseason Poll with 57 points. Milwaukee took the top spot with 142 points, NKU was second with 119 points, and YSU in third with 103 points.
