CLEVELAND – Cleveland State men's basketball will host a reunion dinner and program centered around the 40-year anniversary of the 1985-86 "Run N' Stun" Sweet Sixteen team on February 21 at 5 p.m. The team will be honored on the court during the February 22 game against Fort Wayne.
"We're excited to honor both the legendary 1985-86 Sweet Sixteen team and the entire Mackey era," Vice President and Director of Athletics
Kelsie Gory Harkey said. "This is a special opportunity for Vikings fans to reconnect with a historic era of Cleveland State basketball."
The 1985-86 men's basketball team will be in attendance, along with members of various Cleveland State teams from the Kevin Mackey era (1984-1990).
A buffet-style dinner on the fourth floor of the Wolstein Center will be provided with a cash bar. Photos and highlights will be shown throughout the program and dinner, along with a display of various memorabilia from the Mackey era. Prior to dinner, members of the 1986 Sweet Sixteen team will participate in a panel-style discussion.
A commemorative 1986 Sweet Sixteen t-shirt from GV Art and Design will be provided as part of the package.
The package will cost $45 and
