CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State volleyball team opened up its 2025 home slate Wednesday, dropping a 3-1 match against Akron.
Bryn VanVleet paced the Viking offense with 18 kills on the night, while
Julia Jozefov added five and
Chloe List chipped in four.
Allison Salazar recorded 15 assists on the day, while
Isabella Gibbons added 13.
Cleveland State's defense was led by
Vayda Delventhal who recorded 17 digs on the night, while
Madisyn Green added seven and
Isabella Gibbons posted six digs.
As a team, the Vikings combined for eight blocks, including four from List and
JeriLynn Koehler.
The Vikings will continue play at the CSU Invitational on Friday, hosting American at 6:00 p.m. inside Woodling Gymnasium.
