Horizon League Announces 2025-26 Conference Men’s Basketball Schedule

Cleveland, OH-The Horizon League announced today the 2025-26 conference men's basketball schedule. Cleveland State will play a total of 20 league games with ten at home inside the Wolstein Center and ten on the road. The conference schedule once again features a double round-robin format with two games against all ten league opponents.

Cleveland State posted a 14-6 record in conference play last season which landed the Vikings a runner-up finish in last year's regular season standings. The 2025-26 campaign will mark the debut season for head coach Rob Summers. Summers was named the 18th head coach in program history in April and welcomes a new-look roster of 15 players to the court this season. Summers is no stranger to success in the Horizon League as he was an assistant coach on the 2020-21 and 2021-22 teams that won back-to-back Horizon League Regular Season titles.

The schedule kicks off with four games in the month of December. Cleveland State travels to Northern Kentucky on Wednesday, December 3 for its opening game of league play followed by three straight home games against Detroit Mercy, Milwaukee and IU Indy to close out the month.

As the calendar shifts to January, Cleveland State will spend the majority of the month away from home. Five of CSU's seven contests in January will be played on the road, with the home in-state rivalry matchup against Youngstown State on Saturday, January 17 as one of the two home contests for the month.

The Vikings close the regular season with nine games in the month of February. Cleveland State will host five home games throughout the month. Defending league regular season and tournament champion Robert Morris comes to town for a key matchup on Thursday, February 12. The Vikings will also host Oakland (Feb. 4), Wright State (Feb. 15), Purdue Fort Wayne (Feb. 22) and Northern Kentucky (Feb. 25) at the Wolstein Center.

Single-game tickets for all home conference games are on sale now. Fans can also renew or purchase season tickets for all 2025-26 home games. The men's basketball non-conference schedule, along with a full promotional schedule for the season, will be announced at a later date.
