YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team continued action at the Horizon League Outdoor Championships Saturday, recording four podium finishes on the day.

"Today was a rollercoaster of a day that ended with us scoring two more points than we did as a team last year," head coach Jason Hudson said. "Grace is having a great meet as she recorded another podium finish in the Shot Put today, while Ana and Madison both had solid days for us in competition. Going into the final day of competition I am optimistic that we still have points to score!"

Grace Frye had the top finish on day two of the #HLTF Championships, placing third overall in the Shot Put with a mark of 13.81.

Ana Crangle placed fourth in the 3000 Steeplechase for the Vikings, finishing in a school record time of 10:50.49.

Madison Luthy and Zuriah Radeff-Koonce both recorded podium finishes in the Heptathlon, Luthy placing fifth overall (4733) and Radeff-Koonce placing eighth (4463). Radeff-Koonce placed second in the 800 Meter Run (2:22.16) during the second day of events, while Luthy placed fifth in the Long Jump (5.28) for her top finish of the day.

Luthy was also Cleveland State's lone qualifier in prelim events on Saturday, as she earned a spot in the 400 Hurdles finals after posting a time of 1:03.24 in the prelims.

Cleveland State will close out action at the Horizon League Championships tomorrow, with field events beginning at 10:00 a.m.
