BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Cleveland State women's basketball team had its 2024-25 season come to an end Wednesday, as the Vikings fell at Buffalo, 74-69 in the Fab 4 of the 2025 WNIT. Cleveland State finishes the year with a 27-10 record.

The Game
After holding a two-point lead at 34-32 heading into the halftime break, Buffalo was able to extend its lead over the opening minutes of the third quarter, gaining a six-point advantage before a
Sara Guerreiro three-pointer at the 7:24 mark closed the gap to three points at 39-36. Another three-pointer from
Destiny Leo on CSU's next possession then trimmed the lead down to 41-39, before Buffalo regained a four-point advantage at 43-39.
Cleveland State responded with a 7-0 run, swinging the lead back in its favor at 46-43 on a
Mickayla Perdue three-pointer. Although the Bulls were able to knot the score once again a few plays later, a pair of Perdue free throws put the Vikings back on top at 48-46 with 2:30 left on the clock. The two teams then traded baskets over the next few possessions, with Cleveland State going 4-for-5 from the free throw line over the closing minutes to hold a 56-54 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Jordana Reisma opened the scoring for the Vikings during the fourth quarter then, as a layup at the 9:33 mark gave Cleveland State a 58-54 edge. Buffalo responded with a 4-0 run of their own, before both teams traded baskets once again, to put the score at 67-63 Buffalo.

Filippa Goula three-pointer on Cleveland State's next possession closed the gap to just one point at 67-66, before a 5-1 Buffalo run extended its lead to 72-67 with just 39 seconds remaining.
The Bulls were able to control the rest of the contest then, coming away with the 74-69 victory.
