MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Cleveland State (4-9, 2-4) suffered a 14-4 setback to Robert Morris (9-4, 6-0) on Saturday afternoon. The contest was delayed 40 minutes due to weather and a women's game prior.
The Colonials shutout the Green and White 5-0 in the opening quarter and added the first two goals of the second quarter to lead 7-0 with 6:24 left in the first half.
Michael Care got the Vikings on the board with a man-up goal off a feed from
Jacob Lubrant with 2:53 showing. Fifty seconds later, Cred McDonald found the back of the net to trail 7-2.
Robert Morris tacked on a final goal with 19 seconds remaining to lead 8-2 at halftime.
Alex Van Voorhis scored less than a minute into the second half off a feed from
Creed McDonald to trail 9-3. The home team came right back with four unanswered goals to take a 12-2 advantage into the fourth.
The Colonials added the first two goals of the final frame before
Ethan Brooks netted his first collegiate goal with 1:20 left off a
Will Adair assist, falling 14-4.
Justin Dalum made 18 saves and six ground balls.
Robbie Stewart went 11-of-18 in the faceoff circle with five ground balls.
The Vikings conclude the regular season with youth night against Detroit at 6 p.m. on Krenzler Field.
